I want you to know that you are beautiful and excellent, even when you feel like a failure.
We all have two selves. We have a True Self which is the most real and true thing about us. It is our Light.
Our True Self is the Imago Dei (the image of God) in us or our Buddha Nature. This Self is our original Self, and it is the closest thing to us. It is filled with Love. With goodness, compassion, joy, and creativity.
We also have a false self. Our false self develops when we forget or are cut off from our True Self and feel scared, angry, alone, despairing, and filled with self-loathing.
When we are stuck in our false self, we tend to say and do hurtful and harmful things to ourselves and others.
To some extent, it is normal for people to develop a false self. We start off in the world as little babies and do not remember or know much about our True Self. It takes us a while to remember who we really are.
We reconnect with our True Selves whenever we cultivate practices like silence, meditation, and prayer and whenever we seek for wisdom and are willing to connect with our True Selves.
The more we connect with our True Selves, the more beauty expresses itself in all areas of our lives.
You are a Beautiful Being, Friend, and I am so glad you are here.
